Four new grape hybrids resistant to Meloidogyne javanica

چکیده
Root-knotting nematodes are found in vineyards and associated with grapevine decline. This study aimed to evaluate the resistance of four new hybrids, obtained by crossing Vits labruscana rotundifolia (IBRE 421, IBBT 481, IBRK 504 IBMG 631), Meloidogyne javanica. also evaluated three rootstocks (IAC 766, Paulsen 1103, VR 043- 43), widely used showing levels M. The plants were from cuttings, then grown pots, inoculated a population One year after inoculation, presented no galls on their fine roots. root extracted quantified. reproduction factor javanica all genotypes was close zero. tested hybrids not good hosts for multiplication Thus, these can be as geneticcontrol strategy

Reproduction of Meloidogyne javanica on Corn Hybrids and Inbreds.
The reproductive potential of a Meloidogyne javanica population on 64 commercial corn hybrids and 33 corn inbred lines was determined in greenhouse experiments. Reproduction was measured by determining RF values (final egg number per initial egg number) and number of eggs per gram of fresh root. All corn hybrids supported reproduction greater than RF = 1.0. RF values for the hybrids ranged from...
متن کاملTranscriptome analysis of resistant soybean roots infected by Meloidogyne javanica
Soybean is an important crop for Brazilian agribusiness. However, many factors can limit its production, especially root-knot nematode infection. Studies on the mechanisms employed by the resistant soybean genotypes to prevent infection by these nematodes are of great interest for breeders. For these reasons, the aim of this work is to characterize the transcriptome of soybean line PI 595099-Me...
متن کاملReaction of citrus rootstocks to Meloidogyne javanica.
The response of Citrus spp. and related rootstocks to a population of Meloidogyne javanica was evaluated in a screenhouse experiment. Palestine and Rangpur lime, rough lemon, sour orange, Sexton and Thentriton tangelo, and Volkamer lemon were not infected by M. javanica. Galls and tip swellings were observed on the roots of Poncirus triloliata and Troyer citrange. There was no evidence of nemat...
متن کاملLectin Binding to Meloidogyne javanica Eggs.
T h e egg shell is one of the most impor tant and least understood of the nematode's protective membranes. The egg shell of Meloidogyne incognita consists mostly of proteins (50%), chitin (30%), and traces of lipids and unidentified materials (1). In the present work we used fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-labeled lectins (2) to identify the carbohydrate residues on the gelatinous matr ix and...
متن کاملMeloidogyne javanica Parasitic on Peanut.
Peanut fields in four governorates of Egypt were surveyed to identify species of Meloidogyne present. Fourteen populations obtained from peanut roots were all identified as M. javanica based on perineal patterns, stylet and body lengths of second-stage juveniles, esterase phenotypes, and restriction fragment length polymorphisms of mtDNA. Three of 14 populations, all from contiguous fields in t...
